Phil Flowers

Phil attended DBCS K5-12 and graduated in 1997. He earned a B.A. in United States History from Christopher Newport University (2001) and a M.A. in Modern European History from George Mason University (2003). From 2003-2011 Phil was an Adjunct History Professor at Christopher Newport University and Virginia Peninsula Community College. In 2007 God called the Flowers family into full-time Christian ministry. They served as church planters with ABWE from 2008-2023 including four years of ministry in Israel and 5.5 years in Bulgaria. In 2016, Phil earned a M.A. in Theological Studies from the University of the Holy Land. God led the Flowers family back to the U.S. in 2023. Phil joined the DBCS team as guidance counselor, and his wife Angela is the DBCS music teacher. Phil enjoys traveling with his family, studying and preaching God's word, and reading history books. If he isn't doing one of those things, Phil is probably in the woods or on the water.
