Christine Dutcher was born and raised in Virginia and taught art locally for over 10 years. She has specialized in event coordinating and marketing for the past 9 years. Her husband is on active duty and has served in the Navy for the last 20 years. They have 1 daughter, Penelope, who attends DBCS, is in 6th grade, and has a passion for dancing. Their youngest, is Apollo, who is 1 years old. They have attended Watersedge Church for the last 11 years and Christine helps lead the elementary kids ministry at the Yorktown campus. Her passion has always been creating and teaching. "I believe God has given me spiritual gifts to use and to share the love of art. My gift is using creativity in all aspects to have a positive influence on those around me and while working with children. Teaching art at Denbigh Baptist Christian School allows me to intertwine God's Word through art and to teach others about Him while creating art. I can help children create and incorporate a beautiful picture of who Jesus is through their creativeness. Because He is the ultimate, most creative God and He gave us passions to express and share it with others. I love teaching and I am inspired to help everyone find the artist in themselves and bring out their more creative side. I want my students to have an amazing experience and to be comfortable learning something new. My hope is that they are encouraged to make a beautiful new creation and follow their art."
