Old Time Music
. I'll be bringing in new and exciting instruments like banjos, fiddles, and mandolins for everyone to try out. We'll learn a few fiddle tunes and mess with old time music and early bluegrass.

Strategy Games Club

Altered Books
This club provides an opportunity to create an altered book from a discarded hardback using a variety of collage materials.

Jewelry Making
Design and make jewelry from many different materials. The Jewelry-making club will meet every other Tuesday in Mrs. Mathis's room.

How To
Build a fire, change a tire, and learn how to do many other useful things. Come prepared to learn a new skills each meeting. The club meets every other week in Mrs. Hughes' room.

Film
. We will view films, and discuss them and this year create a movie review blog to share our reviews of films.

Fly Fishing
Fly fishing club will cover the basics of casting, presentation, and fly patterns. We will tie some flies, and in the spring use them on a trip to catch the ever elusive trout.

Photography
Learn the basics of expressing yourself through photography, including how to use an SLR or digital camera, photo composition components, and tips & tricks for different types of photography.

Mind Games
Sudoku, crosswords and cryptograms are some of the puzzles we will tackle during our time together. Learn the secrets of success for completing these "mind games" and enjoy a few other group games.

How to Quilt
This is basic structure of creating a quilt block. We will use the underground railroad quilt blocks in the beginning. Club will teach how to cut, machine stitch, hand stitch, and apply binding.

Scrapbooking
We will work on designing and journaling scrapbooks. We'll share ideas, resources, and techniques!

Spelling/Geography Bee
Get ready for the competitions!

Technology/Website

Fitness Fun Club
We will participate in all sorts of activities ranging from walking and running to ultimate frisbee, touch football, and volleyball. Let’s have fun and whip our bodies into shape at the same time.

Music Appreciation
Open to Middle and/or High School students, we will be listening to music from many different places, including the popular music of today.

Knitting
We will be learning how to knit a scarf. Once the different stitches are learned, we will move on to more difficult projects.

War Games
During club time we'll mostly talk about military history or watch some war movies; our games will be on weekends, and open to all.

International Club
Come celebrate different cultures from around the world. We'll listen to popular music, watch movies and eat authentic food from these various cultures.

Math Club
Join us to explore interesting mathematical topics, work on brainteasers, games, and puzzles, and prepare for math competitions.

Fantasy Football
You know all about it. Middle School and High School. Each group meets every other week.

Chess
Play the game made popular by kings, queens, princes, and Harry Potter. Meets in Coach Settles’ room.

Spirit
Support David Brainerd Christian School with signs, banners, and spirit at the games.

Science Olympiad
Prepare for the Science Olympiad at Chattanooga State at the end of February! More details later.

Prepare for mock trials and debates.
