The Lights Have Arrived!
The delivery of the poles for the athletic field lighting sparks enthusiasm with the anticipation of playing football this season under lights. The first night game at DBCS is expected to be the high school football game vs Lookout Valley on Friday, September 5.
Construction continues on the baseball and softball fields as well. They continue to progress as the concrete blocks for the backstops and dugouts have arrived in preparation for the 2009 seasons.
On top of it all, the DBCS high school football team will have a new home this season as they will enjoy their own lockerroom located closer to the field. The temporary field house will house the Wildcats until the permanent 1200 square foot, state of the art, facility is completed.
Check back for regular updates as we near completion of these projects.

Congratulations to the DBCS Middle School Cheerleaders, who attended UCA camp June 9-11, at Chattanooga Christian School. Our girls were awarded trophies in the following categories: 1st Place for Dance, 2nd Place for Cheer, and were also awarded the Spirit Stick. Elizabeth Wilson was also named an Allstar during the camp award ceremonies. Their 1st place award for Dance earned the squad an invitation to perform at Disney World during Christmas Break! Way to go, girls!
